Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through ReadToLoud, operated by Etele Ágoston ("we", "us", "our"). By completing a purchase you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this policy.

1. Digital Goods — General Policy

ReadToLoud sells digital software subscriptions and AI credit packs. Because digital content is delivered immediately upon purchase and is consumed electronically, all sales are final and non-refundable once the transaction is confirmed, except where required by applicable law.

2. Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions (iOS Core, iOS Full, macOS Core, macOS Full) are billed in advance each month. The following applies:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting support.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access and credits until that date.
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing period.
  • Monthly AI credits (100 OpenAI + 60 Claude) included in each subscription cycle are non-refundable once issued.

3. Credit Packs (One-Time Purchases)

OpenAI and Claude credit top-up packs are one-time purchases. Credits are added to your account immediately upon payment confirmation.

  • Credit packs are non-refundable once purchased.
  • Unused credits roll over indefinitely and never expire.
  • Credits are tied to your account and cannot be transferred.

4. Exceptions

We may issue a refund at our sole discretion in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • A technical error on our part resulted in a duplicate charge.
  • You were charged but the service was completely unavailable for an extended period due to our fault.
  • Applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction mandates a right of withdrawal (e.g. EU 14-day right for consumers, where digital content has not yet been accessed).

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge to support@readtoloud.com with your order ID and a description of the issue.

5. Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Paddle.com as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, tax collection, and payment disputes. For billing-related queries you may also contact Paddle support directly.

6. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate suspension of your ReadToLoud account and credits. We encourage you to reach out to us first — we will do our best to resolve any issue promptly.
